About Cafe Las Cristalinas Cacao Ceremonial
Cacao, often associated with chocolate today, has a deep historical and cultural significance in Mayan civilization.
The Maya civilization, which thrived in Mesoamerica (present-day Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, and El Salvador) from around 2000 BCE to 1500 CE, was one of the earliest cultures to cultivate and use cacao.
Cacao nibs are small pieces or fragments of roasted and crushed cacao beans.
They are one of the fundamental components in the process of making chocolate and cocoa products.
Cacao nibs are known for their intense chocolate flavor and a somewhat crunchy texture.
